Part-Time ESL
SCS seeks a qualified ESL teacher to join our Academic Resource Center on a part-time basis. Must have experience in teaching English learners. You will create lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide constructive feedback to help students improve their language skills. Applicants with a Master’s degree in TESL, TESOL, or Special Education with an ESL focus is preferred. Learning Specialist
SCS seeks a qualified ESL teacher/Learning Specialist to join our Academic Resource Center. Must have experience in teaching English learners. You will create lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide constructive feedback to help students improve their language skills. Additionally, the learning specialist will provide support services such as RTI/AIS services in one-on-one, small group, and classroom settings, and in implementing 504 accommodations. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in structuring guided reading groups, and working with Fountas/Pinnell resources. Applicants with a Master’s degree in TESL, TESOL, or Special Education with an ESL focus is preferred. Elementary STEM Teacher
SCS is seeking an Elementary STEM Teacher. Qualifications include: Bachelor's Degree in the STEM field, knowledge of STEM best practices, experience in teaching methods that demonstrate a desire to influence elementary-aged students. Excellent written and verbal communication as well as Proficiency with basic computer software such as Word and Excel. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience and/or a master’s degree. Substitute Teachers
Smithtown Christian School is seeking individuals with an interest in working with students at all grade levels K-12. All applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree, prior experience in a classroom setting is a plus. SCS has openings for Lunch/Recess Aides. The role includes giving care and support to students during lunch and recess. Must be experienced in working with children and have a heart for serving students of all ages and a strong connection with a local evangelical church .
