Substitute Teachers
Smithtown Christian School is seeking individuals with an interest in working with students at all grade levels K-12. All applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree, prior experience in a classroom setting is a plus. Our current faculty and staff will provide support for you to successfully fulfill this essential role at our school. Part-Time ESL
SCS seeks a qualified ESL teacher to join our Academic Resource Center on a part-time basis. Must have experience in teaching English learners. You will create lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide constructive feedback to help students improve their language skills. Applicants with a Master’s degree in TESL, TESOL, or Special Education with an ESL focus is preferred. Office: Administrative Assistant
SCS is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide clerical and operational support to our administrative team. The primary role will be to support all the functions of the office, including calendar management, event coordination, using the student information system, and being a liaison between students, faculty, and parents. Preference will be given to candidates with a bachelor’s degree and prior experience working in an office and using standard office equipment. Intermediate proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite (ability to create and/or work with tables, mail merges, Excel spreadsheets, Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.) and excellent organization and communication skills are required. Lunch/Recess Aides – Part-time
SCS has openings for Lunch/Recess Aides. The role includes giving care and support to students during lunch and recess. Must be experienced in working with children and have a heart for serving students of all ages and a strong connection with a local evangelical church . Elementary STEM Teacher
SCS is seeking an Elementary STEM Teacher. Qualifications include: Bachelor’s Degree in the STEM field, knowledge of STEM best practices, experience in teaching methods that demonstrate a desire to influence elementary-aged students. Excellent written and verbal communication as well as Proficiency with basic computer software such as Word and Excel. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience and/or a master’s degree.
